The opening round of the Portuguese 1/8th Off-road Nationals was held at the Guarda track this past weekend. In the Nitro Buggy class it was Kyosho’s Joao Figueiredo with the overall TQ from Serpent’s Carlos Duraes in 2nd and Mugen’s Ricardo Monteiro in 3rd. In the 45-minute the three would battle it out for the top 3 positions again and in the end the order would stay the same as in the qualifiers with Joao taking the win from Carlos 2nd and Ricardo 3rd.
Over in the E-Buggy class Carlos, Joao and Ricardo again obtained the top spots with Carlos coming out on top after the triple A-mains, leaving behind Ricardo in 2nd and Joao in 3rd.
